Ring Oximeter User Manual
The Ring Oximeter is a wearable sensor designed to complement Patch EEG by adding continuous SpO₂ and heart rate measurements to sleep recordings.
Integrated directly into Flowpoint, the ring enables synchronized multimodal acquisition, allowing oxygen saturation and cardiovascular data to be aligned with EEG-derived metrics such as sleep stages and spectral features.
Data can be streamed in real time via Bluetooth or accessed post-recording through CSV export, supporting flexible research workflows without reliance on external apps or cloud services.
The system is optimized for overnight use, with a lightweight ring form factor and battery life suited for full-night recordings.
This accessory is designed to extend EEG workflows, not replace them, enabling deeper interpretation of sleep physiology through combined neural and peripheral signals.
Important:
Not a standalone product. Requires Flowpoint software and is intended for use alongside CGX Patch EEG.
Indications for Use: Not a medical device. For research use only.
• SpO₂ Monitoring (1 Hz Sampling): Captures oxygen saturation trends across the night, enabling identification of desaturation patterns and respiratory-related events.
• Heart Rate Monitoring (1 Hz Sampling): Provides continuous heart rate data for alignment with EEG-derived sleep structure and event-based analysis. Note: Sampling rate does not support HRV analysis.
• Flowpoint Integration (Required): All data is visualized, recorded, and exported within Flowpoint. No mobile app or cloud dependency required.
• Real-Time Bluetooth Streaming: Supports live multimodal monitoring and synchronization with EEG signals during acquisition.
• Synchronized Data Alignment: Ensures precise temporal alignment between EEG, SpO₂, and heart rate for time-resolved analysis.
• CSV Export for Post-Hoc Analysis: Access synchronized datasets for use in external analysis tools or custom pipelines.
• Multimodal Compatibility: Designed to integrate with EEG plug-ins including sleep staging and spectral analysis workflows.
• Ring Form Factor: Low-profile wearable design supports natural sleep with minimal subject interference.
• 14-Hour Battery Life: Supports full-night recordings without interruption.
• Stable Overnight Signal: Maintains consistent contact for continuous physiological monitoring.
